My car is now a Texan! Thank you to the great state of Texas for becoming my latest home.
New season, new opportunities
With the upswing in temperatures, I have also enjoyed an upswing in other work opportunities and such. It has been interesting feeling out the way the Lord is leading me during the time here. He has been very gracious in providing, yet he has not provided anything permanent. I am staying in a borrowed room, going from odd job to odd job, and have my eyes on a possible trip to Uganda in July to help run a Foundations for Community Development school in Jinja. While this is not the long-term opportunity I am praying for, I am so blessed to know that God has a plan, and it is quite hard to depart from His will when you earnestly seek Him. The tentative dates for that school will be July 14th to October 3rd. Join me in seeking God for provision and vision as we work with local leaders to lay a Godly foundation in Ugandan communities! Next month's email will have more details concerning this opportunity.
I was finally able to get my hands in the dirt this week! Planting season is in full swing here in San Antonio. In fact, many stores are already putting plants on clearance! This Marigold was 25 cents. They are nice to look at, but putting them in your garden can help deter pests from munching on your plants! A great investment to be sure. I just love how springtime is a reminder that Jesus gives us new life every day. As baby plants poke up from the ground for the first time, I can't help but be thankful for each new day I'm given. Here is a picture of the rest of the garden. There's a tomato we planted in the back corner, and a nice stand of parsley that came back from last year. There are baby plants scattered throughout, and we put down some compost to help nurture them and retain moisture in the soil. I hope you have a wonderful gardening season, wherever you are! God Bless!
Thanks for thinking of me! Please keep the following requests in mind: 1) Preparations for Uganda trip 2) Provision of more regular work 3) Health/Health Insurance 4) Continue opportunities to invest in what the Lord is doing here.
